THE SAHARA (World's Largest Desert)

Sahara is an Arabic word. It means desert. Sahara is the world's largest warm desert. This huge Sahara Desert located in the northern part of the African continent. This Sahara Desert extends from the coast of the "Atlantic Ocean" to the west, extending east to the "Red Sea" coast. The length of this desert is 5600 kilometer meters and the shape is 1950 kilometer and the area is 64 lakh square kilometers. Most of the places in Algeria, Libya and Egypt belong to the desert. Also in the desert in the north of these eight countries, Tunisia, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Mali, Sudan, Chad and Niger.

The climate of the Sahara Desert is of extreme nature. Here the temperature is highest in the earth. As the sun rises from the rising temperature at very fast rates, the temperature decreases rapidly after sunset and falls below the freezing point. The average temperature in the Sahara Desert is about fifty degrees Celsius. There are frequent winds and fierce dust storms in the daytime. Most of this desert is covered by cactus trees. Rugs, watermelons, dates, tomatoes, carpets, etc. are stacked in the desolation of the desert. The road is now being built in the Sahara Desert Zone. In the region of Egypt, Libya, Algeria etc., this area has developed mineral refining industry, cotton textile weaving industry, textile industry and sugar industry.
